Apple Market Capitalization in the Big Leagues

Apple has grown so much lately and is so popular on Wall Street that their market capitalization has grown to over $51 billion. This is the cost per share multiplied by the number of outstanding shares. Basically, the amount of money invested through stock into the company. As you can see, Apple is closing in on Dell who is at $70 billion market cap. As another comparison, I thru in Ford for comparision, which appears strange at $15 billion market cap. (GM is even worse). Of course this compares to Google at $101 billion, Cisco at $111 billion, and Microsoft at $278 billion. But this would put MS at being about 5.4 times the size of Apple. Not quite the same as when you compare market share in the computer market. Apple, welcome to the Big Leagues.
