Hip Hop from a Mac iBook

iLife or no iLife, look see what you can do on an iBook with a little imagination. Their CD will be available soon but here is a cut called Knock Knock. Yes, this is from 2 white guys in vanilla Minnesota. Enjoy!

Phillip had shown me this video that Gordon had done. I was very impressed with the professional feal to the video. Although I still cringe at Rap music, I certainly can see talent here. Is this the music he played at that NY club? I thought it was just serene background music. I heard some of that on his MySpace.com link. The Macs make creativity so easy by giving you the tools which do not get in the way. Paul (Macintosh Fanatica) sent out a Christmas newsletter created in Pages. It was amazing. With faded picture backgrounds, Fonts that go together. It looked like something you would create.

You nailed it on the head, Stitch. That's the point - the Mac literally coaxes creativity out of you!! I'm not by nature an artist (although I wish I was), but with a Mac, I can create great stuff without being an artist. I take my modest creativity, and let the Mac help me out!

I'm certainly not a fan of rap, although I am impressed at the finished product given that they wrote the music, filmed the video and edited the entire thing in about 2 weeks. I think more original and creative work can be expected from him but it's always a good learning process to emulate the work of others.

I like the new products too but really can't see using them myself. They are geared to people like my wife who is a big fan of iPhoto and would like to use .mac to share events with that family. More to come.
