"iPhone" a Go...

Cisco and Apple have reached an agreement on Apple's use of the name "iPhone." Good news, since that's the best name for the new device.

This is good news. I don't think Cisco really had a case but they could have dragged things out. They were saying all along that they wanted to work with Apple on interoperability with their products and Apple's. I bet the deal was more on how to support something like Apple TV with Cisco's router experience than with the iPhone itself.

All I can say is, I'll buy the new phone from Apple no matter what it's called! Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't call it "Apple phone" along with "Apple TV".

But I guess Apple wants to follow the legacy they've laid down.

McFan, did you actually make the announcement that you will be buying the iPhone once it is released? We now have you on the record.
