Mobile Me Uproar!

Gentlemen, what do you think of the recent uproar over the MobileMe rollout? Walt Mossberg can't recommend MobileMe because there are currently too many bugs, and it isn't truly "push". I happen to be a .Mac (and now, MobileMe) subscriber. I did have difficulties trying to get some files off my iDisk. I could just imagine someone who DEPENDS on the service for business, and not being able to access files. It would be MADDENING!

Is this a case of Apple trying to do too much at one time? What do you guys think?

If this is true, that there are substantial bugs in MobileMe then it may be true that Apple is spread too thin. Or maybe the person heading up this project may have dropped the ball on system checks. I know that Apple wanted to rollout MobileMe at the same time the new iPhone 3G came out. So they could show that they can handle the enterprise systems. But with all these bugs, it will hurt rather than help sway business users to switch to the iPhone and MobileMe. Hey, they can't all be home runs!!!

I understand that Apple just posted an update that all email issues have been resolved, and MobileMe is working more normally. I hope it doesn't hurt Apple too much in the long run. The idea of "Exchange for the rest of us" is such a great idea!
