Rumor has it that Apple will refresh its much ballyhooed Mac Mini at Macworld:

Will this be a major announcement? Will it be a game changer? I think Apple does have an opportunity to hit the Mac Mini out of the park! What do you think would make it a huge winner?

I wish Apple would develop the mini into a platform for people who don't feel the need to upgrade the entire computer system. Just the guts. I believe people would upgrade more often since the price would be dropped.
That really would be an incredible thing - it would change the paradigm behind computing. No need to buy a whole new box - just slip in a new "card", or whatever, and you have a modern computer. It would be great to make such a thing easy for regular people, and isn't that what Apple is all about?
