Android overtakes iPhone?

Stitch, the headlines have recently screamed that this is the first quarter that Android based phones sold more that iPhones. But consider the following article:

Android v. iPhone

The author suggests looking a little deeper into the statistics and the incredible deals the carriers have put out to spur sales. In a way, it may make the iPhone a more desirable phone. As the article also suggests, let's wait a little longer to see what happens when Apple releases the iPhone 4G.

Sales numbers are really sketchy when the phones are partially subsidized by the cell phone carriers. Even the iPhone is. They may be heavily discounting the Android phones just to get them out there. It is more of a choice for the consumer of having a basic phone or an Android for the same price. But people are paying their own money for an iPhone because it is a proven quality phone.
