HD-DVD Player Sales tank?

Gentlemen, are the consumers responding? The article:

HD-DVD Sales

suggests HD-DVD player sales fell precipitously after Warner announced its decision. Do you think it makes sense? If Blue Ray takes off, are either of you guys poised to pounce?

Looks like the war is over. I am curious why you are so interested in this format wars? Do you own stock in one of these companies? :)

Stitch, it's so true! I have this fascination with a DVD that can hold 25 Gb, and I really want things to go that way. I'd love to have a Blue Ray burner! I'm also fascinated with the Amazon top 10 for MP3 players! I have to stop peeing away time looking at that!

I will wait until you can put 1 terabyte on a stick drive. Then I will buy! I will give it another 2 years before that will happen.

It is healthy to track where the MS turd is on the charts. Do they even make the turd version anymore?

Stitch, it's the most bizarre thing. It is true that the brown turd is not high on the charts anymore, but the fact is that the black and brown first generation Zunes can still be found far down on the list, not always that far from the Zune 2.0!! I just don't get how there are so many old Zunes that aren't even in production anymore! I do think the price is pretty good, but the turd can still be found!

At the same time, the Kindle is number 1 in electronics, and I can't help but question what that means for the Amazon bestseller list as an indicator of broader trends!
