A layoff at Sun, hmmm. Is this a true layoff or are they just closing office in the US and openning more overseas in search of cheap labor. Even Apple is doing some of this in India. Guess companies will not be able to compete unless they hop on this bandwagon. I just wonder why the US chose a communist country to make the world's manufacturer when central and south america are more than willing to be that factory. Plus most of these countries are democracies. Go figure.
I think this is a true layoff. In fact, Sun was criticized for not laying off enough. We're talking a 13% reduction. I'm really hoping Sun proves them wrong and makes a huge turnaround.
Yeah, the reason I asked about the country, and I figured you were talking about China, is that China strikes me as a psuedo-communist regime these days. It just seems like they're going down the road of capitalism, whether the 'old boys' of the government like it or not.

Yes I was refering to China as the communist country. India is of course the largest democracy in the world.
