Myth TV - Linux's Apple TV

I found that Linux has something like Apple TV. But it also will act as a DVR, play DVDs and games. This shot is one of many possible "skins". It looks impressive. I'm sure setup requires computer speak.

If I remember correctly, I may have owned one of those a long time ago!

Yes that is an old TV in the picture. But it is one of many possible skins you can download. It is funny how they all have a similar look to Apple TV with the glowing blue background with a swish or two. Very OSXish.

Of course this is a totally different market for these. Its the "I can build that myself" market. Who is willing to endure much pain debugging why the darn thing isn't working. But in the end the system will have many more and customizable features. You can even use any universal remote to control this, with the help of an IR to text conversion program.

Of course for the rest of us who enjoy our free time. Apple TV will setup without a hitch and we can be watching it on TV in a matter of minutes.
