Apple 3rd Quarter!!
I can't imagine that my Mac buddies did not hear the awesome news regarding Apple's earnings for the third quarter. Defying naysayers, the Mother Ship beat analysts doom and gloom predictions of lower iPod sales, and also sold quite a few Macbooks in the process! 8.11 MILLION iPods sold in the quarter, and His Steveness is very excited about the iPod products in the pipeline! And 12% laptop market share is at a high not seen in years. Let us rejoice for a healthy Apple Computer!

This is great news! Apple is still going strong as a whole. But I have read some from naysayers who state that iPod unit sales are down 13% from two quarters ago. And that Apple said that many of the new Mac sales were from pent up demand for the intel versions and education sales. As for the iPod down from two quarters ago, hey that was the holiday sale season. If they weren't down, that is what would be strange. And for Mac sales, sales are sales. It doesn't matter where they came from. I don't have confidence that they know for sure what is driving sales anyways. Do you have to answer a survey when you buy one? I don't think so. Apple is still solid, and from the sounds of it have many new products to release before Christmas.
