I know this is a little old (1999) but I thought it was too funny not to post. Noah Wyle is immitating Steve Jobs at MacWorld. Noah played Steve Jobs in a movie about the rise of both Apple and Microsoft. He also plays a doctor on the TV show ER. He has a lot of his manerisms down.

Excellent post, Stitch! In fact, Pirates of Silicon Valley remains one of my favorite movies of all time, and I have it on DVD. My only disappointment with the DVD was the limited (or nonexistent, really) bonus materials. They could have really gone for broke, but they didn't.
I'm eagerly awaiting Woz's new book for the Fall!
I just watched the entire inaugural Boston Macworld where Jobs gave his first keynote back at the helm of Apple. It is very prophetic! I love Apple history!
I do feel, however, that the "era of competition between Microsoft and Apple" did not end. It still simmers with each new release of OSX!
Apple has the stategy with OSX to lay low and not talk up the new features before it is released. Then at release they go for the wow factor. Look at all the great features we have added.
I like the comment that Apple said after releasing Tiger. They said that the pace of development would slow. I think this was a ploy to tell MS to take it easy, Apple will slow innovation. And then wham, keep cranking out amazing upgrades.
I completely agree. I also think this is pivotal juncture for Apple in that Microsoft is struggling to get Vista out the door. Apple can really steal the show by pushing WAY out ahead in the OS features while MS is just trying to release Vista with "old" features, that is, features Mac users have enjoyed for quite a while.
You're right on the mark, Stitch, in that Apple is well aware that Microsoft looks to them for many new features. By downplaying and not revealing Apple's OS direction, Microsoft cannot incorporate Apple's new features into Vista. It's too late, and Apple is once again way out in front.
