Apple and Creative kiss and make up

Gentlemen, what do you think about the settlement between Apple and Creative? I was actually surprised that happened, given the animosity between them. Apple shells out 100 million and takes care of the patent issues, and could recoup some of that cash if Creative licenses to other companies. Also, Creative joins the ecosystem "Made for iPod" to produce accesories for the iPod. Did Apple sell out, or is this just good business sense? Comments?

I would have to say that I think this is a trivial little settlement. The fact that Creative will not make iPod accessories seems to be part of the agreement. And it may be a sign that Creative may exit the music player business and focus on accessories for the iPod. A good win/win from my view.

Good move by Apple - drop in the bucket for Apple, even though $100 million is huge to us average Joes.
