Its official, Bill Gates will be retiring from Microsoft after 2008. It is also rumored that Steve Balmer will leaving soon after. A changing of the guard you might say. I guess you can only make such mundane products for so long before you start pulling hair out of your head. No matter how much money you make. Actually Bill is leaving for a noble cause. To give away his fortune to help needy people around the world. Well Bill, its been a fun ride.

Well, I have to say that Bill Gates, the human being, is pretty damn cool! Now, Bill Gates, the Microsoft guru...well, he's done some not so hot things from time to time. I applaud what he does with his fortune!

You know, fellas, that a changing of the guard has been underway at Apple as well! Several high level managers have resigned and been replaced by younger people. I suppose it's only a matter of time until Jobs decides to hang it up.
I must agree that Gates has done some great stuff for people, and that's definitely something to admire! It will be very interesting to see the direction Microsoft goes after this change.
