I find this bit of news to be highly suspect. The drawings themselves do not show a product that has the kind of styling that Apple would normally like to have. Also, I do not think it makes sense to create a video-conferencing iPod prior to an iPod phone. That being said, the idea is pretty cool.
I didn't read the whole article, quite lengthy you know, but from what I read it sounds very promising. There was a figure of a iPhone type device in the patent. As for Apple quality, these are only patents. It makes sense that they don't disclose the true look of the device. Only the technical patentable parts. But then again, these days it is fairly easy to pull a hoax. I am hopefull. There must be something big coming soon. What is Apple doing with all that money pumped into R&D?
