After a team wins the cup, each member of the team gets to have the cup for a day. I guess these guys were traveling in NY and of course had to stop in at the new Apple store. But I am not so naive to think that this was also part of a publicity stunt.
That's right stitch, was it 1976 or 1977 that you won it on the Old Farm Circle arena? Seems only like yesterday, the puck bounced off the newspaper box directly in front of the net where you bounced on it and drilled it home behind the netminder... whom I believe was me. Oh well, congratulations.
You got it right. It was in double overtime of game seven. I don't recall bouncing on the ball but then again, it all seemed to happen in slow motion. This was a different era. Back when the puck was a soggy tennis ball. It took me days trying to find a perfectly dead tennis ball, but after scouring street after street, there it was, lieing against the curb in a pool of rain water. I knew this was a game ball! Anyway, I digress.

Hockey, iTunes and the Apple Store New York! Sounds like a winning combination!
Yeah, it's cool...I just wish I liked watching hockey - for some reason, it never interested me.

There is no question in my mind that the players are all Mac fanatics!
I heard that Carolina wanted to emboss the Apple logo on the Stanley Cup!
